She graduated from Odessa High School in 1971 and later moved to Austin where she retired from General Electric Supply after over 30 years of service.
Her favorite pastime was watching football, and her happiest time of the year was football season. She also loved spending time with her nephews and nieces – taking them on fun trips and excursions.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Marquitta Decker and stepfather, Robert Decker. As well as her husband, Kevin Shugart who passed away in 2012.
She is survived by her siblings Rita Gavit of Austin, Texas and Sue Daniel and Terry Pigg of Round Rock, Texas, sister-in-law, Ruth Pigg of Round Rock, Texas, as well as nieces and nephews.
A private service for family will be followed by interment at Cook-Walden Mausoleum, Pflugerville, Texas.
Jerri was a very loved daughter, wife, sister, aunt and great-aunt and was loved by all.
