Edward Aleman Garza

Edward A. Garza, age 53, of Manor, Texas, passed away July 27, 2012 due to a tragic car accident. He was born October 23, 1958 in Taylor, Texas. Daddy enjoyed being with us all - he touched many lives. He made us laugh, always had a smile, and always had something to say that would bring a smile to your face. He was our hero. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Israel Garza; and brother, Gilbert Garza.

He is survived by his wife, Mary R. Garza; his children, Edward Jr., Gary, Jennifer, Ruben and Melissa Garza; son-in-law, Brian, all from Manor, Texas; many brothers and sisters, grandchildren, and numerous other family members and friends. Thanks to all the staff at St. David’s North Medical Center, Fresenius Medical Care Dialysis and Dr. Diana Castillo Nye of Scott and White.

Visitations will take place at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas on Wednesday, August 1st from 10am-4pm, and Thursday, August 2nd from 10am-4pm and 5pm-7pm. A Rosary will be held on Thursday, August 2nd at 7pm in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will take place at 1:00pm on Friday, August 3rd at St. Julia Catholic Church in Austin; Burial will follow at Jones Cemetery in Austin.
