Eugene “Gene” Wilburn Slussler, age 93, of Austin, passed away on February 18, 2015. He was born on August 16, 1921 in Austin to Louis and Mary (Creel) Slussler. He served in the United States Army during World War II, and was honorably discharged in 1946.
Gene is survived by his son, Terrence E. Slussler and wife Sandra; grandsons, Gary, Todd, and Brad Slussler; nine great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Mausoleum Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
