Francisco Deanda Jr., known lovingly as Frank to all who knew him, was born on October 27, 1959, in Abilene, Texas, to Mary Lou and Francisco G. Deanda. On April 28, 2025, Frank passed away on the 17th anniversary of the passing of his beloved wife, Hilda Deanda, reuniting with her, his dear mother Mary Lou, and his sweet pup Deebo, who preceded him in death.
Frank is survived by his devoted children Anjelica (Tim) and Francisco III, his cherished grandchildren Mason, Bayley, Allyssa, and Aubrie, and three precious great-grandbabies. He is also survived by his loving siblings: Ricky (Robin), Terry (Mike), Gracie (Ron), and Barbie (Freddie), as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will carry his memory with them. He also leaves behind his devoted fiancé of ten years, Cece, with whom he shared deep love, companionship, and countless quiet joys.
Raised with humble beginnings, Frank grew up in a home built on love, laughter, and resilience. His mother, a devoted homemaker, and his father, a decorated Vietnam veteran, instilled in him the values of hard work, loyalty, and family first. Frank was a proud Austinite and lover of rock and roll, a free spirit in his youth who often recalled the open roads of old Austin—riding his motorcycle through the city. He was a passionate music lover and a self-taught guitarist, often filling the home with the sounds of his favorite songs.
A lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs, Frank loved cheering on his teams surrounded by family. He worked for decades in the technology field, where his dedication and work ethic earned him respect and admiration. But his proudest role by far was being a father and grandfather. His love for his family was unwavering and absolute—he was the kind of man who showed up, no matter what.
Frank embraced the simple pleasures of life: a strong cup of coffee, his favorite recliner, weekend barbecues, and quiet nights spent watching TV with Cece by his side. He was a steady presence in the lives of those he loved—reliable, kind-hearted, and the kind of funny that could lighten any mood.
To know Frank was to love him; he radiated a calm joy that was infectious for everyone around him. His laughter was contagious, his hugs comforting, and his love deeply rooted. He was fiercely protective of his family and friends, a true example of loyalty and goodness in an often cruel world.
Frank’s legacy is one of love, humor, strength, and music. He will be missed beyond measure but remembered with immense gratitude by all whose lives he touched.
