Gregory Lynn Ray

October 11, 1956 ~ January 3, 2011

Greg was called to heaven at the age of 54 years. He was a loving son, father, husband and friend. He was born in Austin, Texas on October 11, 1956 to J.W. Ray and Elizabeth S. Ray. He attended Reagan High School and received his degree in Criminal Justice from St. Edward's University. In 1975, Greg met the love of his life, Becky Jean Schmidt Ray. They spent many happy years together until she passed away in 2006. They loved their family and friends, and both cherished their son, Jesse Patrick.

He was preceded in death his wife, Rebecca Jean Ray and his father, J.W. Ray.

Greg is survived by his son, Jesse Patrick Ray and his mother, Elizabeth S. Ray.

Honoring Greg as pallbearers are David L. Seago, Bill Manly, Ken Tolson, Philip Moseley, Keith Schmidt and Kevin McFarland.

There will be a visitation for family and friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2011 at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home, Pflugerville. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday January 8, 2011 at the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home with the burial following at the Taylor City Cemetery in Taylor, Texas.
