Harry Wayne Barker was born in Rockdale, Texas on February 3, 1939 to Hubert and Lottie Knight Barker. He passed away in Austin, Texas on his 85th birthday, February 3, 2024. He graduated from Manor High School in 1957 and owned his own roofing business for 40 years. Harry loved the Lord and attended church all his life. He loved his family and was a faithful friend to so many. He was really good at pitching fast-pitch softball, knife making, wood carving, hunting and fishing.
Harry is survived by his wife, Wilma, of 47 years, his daughter, Christi; stepsons, Robert and Kenny; granddaughters, Mykayla and Cheryl; grandsons, Blaine, Justin and Elvin; sister-in-law, Janell Smoot and husband Ralph and Carolyn Hemphill; as well as nieces and nephews.
Harry was preceded in death by his son, Richard Wayne and daughter-in-law, Anissa; his parents, his sister, Deanie and her husband, Bob; and his brother, Melvin and his wife Janice.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville.
