

On March 18, 2015 at 1:37 in the morning, GOD wrapped his arms around a special angel, gave him his golden wings and took him home. Mr. Huey Davis, son of Leroy and Evelyne Davis, was born in Bastrop County, Texas on March 8, 1933.
Huey grew up and attended public school in Bastrop, Texas and at an early age united with Cottonwood Baptist Church in Garfield, Texas. Later he worked at Armstrong McCall for over 50 years and never missed a day of work.
Huey was preceded in death by his father, Leroy; mother, Evelyne; wife, Margaret; son, Terry Lee Davis; and grandsons, Derrick and Melvin Hughes.
He leaves to cherish his memory three daughters, Alta Crayton-Willard, Brenda Evans-Maurice and Regina Davis-Darby; three sons, Charles Anderson and wife Lorrain, Larry Davis and wife Venesa, and Marshall Davis, all of Austin, Texas; sisters, Gracie Mae Davis, Shirley McArthur, and Lillie Neal; brothers, Leroy Jr., Willie, Lorenzo and wife JoAnn, and Gene Davis, all of Austin, Texas; 26 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. John McCall and wife Amy and Mary Jo Goertz and husband Kenny were very special people in his life. Huey was blessed to see six generations of Davises and he was loved and cherished by everyone whose path he crossed.
Services to celebrate Huey’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 27, 2015 in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. The family will greet guests the hour prior to services and committal services will follow in Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery.
