

James Michael "Mike" Heidmann, age 63, of Georgetown, Texas passed away on May 23, 2022. He was born on December 7, 1958, in Beeville, Texas, to Stella Schlameus Heidmann and Arthur Heidmann. Mike was the youngest of four children.
Mike graduated from Lanier High School in Austin, Texas, and earned his bachelor's degree in business from Texas State University. After starting his career in state government and at a local technology company, Mike joined Merrill Lynch in 1994, to team up with his brother David.
From 1994 until his retirement in 2020, Mike worked as Senior Vice-President and Wealth Management Advisor for The Heidmann/Jefferson Group at Merrill Lynch. There he was known for his friendly demeanor, amazing listening skills and the care and concern he had for each of his clients as well as his colleagues.
As an active community member, Mike and his wife, Jenny, volunteered at an outreach center for the homeless serving meals at their shelter. Mike also donated much his time to his church.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Stella and Arthur, and his sisters Carole Lynn Berninghausen (Bob) and Elizabeth Jane "Betty" Heidmann.
Mike is survived by his wife, Jenny Heidmann, and her three children Tina Gutierrez, Dennis Heisey and Donna Davis; brother, David Heidmann (Maggie); nephews, Wade Heidmann (Eileen), Michael Heidmann and Danny O'Neill; nieces, Tracy Balboa (Aaron), Sophia Balboa, and Tara O'Neill; grandchildren, Abriana Moore, Alexandria Gutierrez, Amara Gutierrez, Alivia Gutierrez, Sarah Poyner, Jeffery Poyner, Adam Davis, Anna Davis, Joshua Heisey, Zaine Heisey, James Davis, Alan Davis, Matthew Davis, Kayla Davis, Andrew Davis and Zachary Davis; as well as cousins, Jeff Kaiser (Eve), Paul Kaiser and Cindy Haggler (John), and uncle Robert Schlameus (Marie), along with countless friends and colleagues from Merrill Lynch and his church.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Mike’s memory to Dell Children’s Hospital.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2022 in the funeral home chapel.
