

James C. Johnson “Jimmy” was born December 14, 1942 in Austin Texas to the late Ruby Lee Johnson and Jack Walker. He departed this life Friday, June 17, 2011. James C. Johnson was preceded in death by sister Verna Yvonne Blaine.

He confessed his faith in Christ and was a member of Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Austin, Texas.
A lifelong member of the Clarksville community, he attended and graduated from L. C. Anderson High School in 1960. He dedicated 32 years of service, respectively, at Brackenridge Hospital as a Surgical Technician and the Texas Department of Public Safety as a Building Maintenance Supervisor.
James C. Johnson was married to the departed Etta Fay Fuller Johnson for 36 years and to this union one child was born, James A. Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories Daughters; Andrea Johnson and Pamela Johnson of Austin; Sons, Brian Johnson, James A. Johnson and wife Laurie of Austin, Rodney Johnson and wife Jackie of Austin; Brothers, Ruben Johnson and wife Merlyiss of Austin, Harold Blaine and wife Brenda of Austin; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Also very dear to James C. Johnson was Lucy Victorian who shared many years of companionship.
Visitation will be, 6 pm.-8 pm., Thursday, June 23rd. at Cook-Walden Capital Park Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas.
The funeral services to occur at 11 a.m., Friday, June 24th, at Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, 5900 Cameron Road in Austin, Texas.
The family would like to thank Dr. Morris and team, all technical members from the Austin Heart Hospital, and the nursing staff of the ICU at Seton Medical Center for the special care and heartfelt sympathy they provided “Jimmy” in his time of need.
