Mimi is survived by her parents, Francisco Javier and Michelle Resendiz; her sisters, Alma Arianna and Yadhira Lizette Resendiz; her grandparents, Maria Teresa Banda, Maria del Refugio Gomez, and Alejandrino Resendiz. She is also survived by her closest relatives, her uncle Alejandro Resendiz who she called "tío monkey" along with his wife, Gaby Moreno, and their children, Yoselin Monserrat, Briana Alexa, and Denise Alejandra; her uncle, Jose Miguel Banda who she called "tío bubba"; and her godparents, Rodolfo and Mary Banda.
Mimi was diagnosed with lupus in January of 2011. She was always so humble and happy regardless of her medical condition. She loved color, caring for others, and her dog, Fifi Fae. She loved to be surrounded by people and loved music. She had an obsession with the singing group, One Direction, and was able to meet them. She is loved by many and always had a smile that we will remember her by. She has filled our life with joy and will always remain in our hearts.
