Jeanna Renee Hill

Jeanna Renee Hill, 34, of Austin, Texas departed peacefully to be with The Lord on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. Her loving wife, Heather, and mother, Yomeida, held her hands as she entered her Heavenly home.

Jeanna was born on September 5, 1986 to George and Yomeida Martinez in Falfurrias, Texas. After graduating from Falfurrias High School in 2005 as Salutatorian, she went on to attend Texas State University along with her sister, Jessica. She received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2009 and a Master’s degree in Child Life in 2011.

As a certified Child Life Specialist, Jeanna was employed by The Johnson Center for Child Health and Development for 9 years. After the welcoming of her daughter, Emmy, Jeanna transitioned into working part-time. In January 2020, Jeanna combined her child life background and motherhood skills into a new role as business owner of Tiny Tots Daycare. Regretfully and with a heavy heart, her illness led to the closing of this wonderful chapter of her short life.

Apart from working hard, Jeanna had a passion for loving God, family, and friends. She was known for baking the best cupcakes, for hosting gatherings, and for her love of books. Jeanna and reading were synonymous. Her big heart, infectious smile and laugh, and her kind and compassionate spirit will be greatly missed.

A celebration of Jeanne’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. Due to the current COVID protocols, guests are required to wear protective face masks at all times and practice the recommended six foot social distancing.
