He was born in San Antonio, Texas on November 5, 1963. Jerry graduated from Pflugerville High School. He married Jennifer Doty on August 8, 2018. He was a loving father, son, husband, brother, and uncle who will be dearly be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents Jack and Jo Sanders, his wife, Jennifer Doty, his children Ashly Sanders, Jerry Paul Sanders, II (Lane Helms); Morgan Sanders Fisher (Chris); and Hanna Sanders along with the mother of his children Kimberly Jansky Sanders. His stepchildren Amy Szabo (Greg), Catherine Smith, Michael Smith (Cheyenne), Britni Choate and Jessi Ann Heishman. His step-grandchildren Elizabeth Szabo and Olivia Smith. His brother, Jackie Sanders (Elizabeth) and sisters Jill Sanders-Castro (Felipe) and Judy Sorrells Sanders (Anthony Mireles) and his nephews Maurice Sorrells and Marcus Sorrells and many cousins.
A visitation for Jerry will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Rosary Service at 7 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. The funeral service will occur Friday, July 7, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Louis Catholic Church, 7601 Burnet Rd, Austin, TX 78757. The committal service will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery.
