

Jesse was preceded in death by his wife, Genie Lockhart-Welch; son, Roy Don Welch; daughters-in law, Valerie Welch and Doris Welch; sister, Clovene Welch; brothers, Melvin Welch, Thomas Riley, David Riley, Raymond Riley and J.C. Moore and his granddaughter, Kristin Hughes.
Jesse is survived by son, Jesse Lee Welch, Jr.; daughter, Eva Charlotte Schwartz (Mike); sister, Faye Haliburton (Wardell); sisters-in-law, Audrey Riley, Ruth Riley and Mitzi Moore; ten grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and close friends.
Jesse served in the U.S. Army Air Corp Combat Engineers in the South Pacific during the WWII period. Jesse’s life work included dedication to his family and his lifelong career as a home builder in Austin, Texas.
Jesse enjoyed hunting, fishing and all types of wood-working. Jesse’s great love was dancing and spending time with his large family and network of friends.

Public visitation will take place on Monday, April 21, 2014 at 12:00pm to 1:00pm in the Memorial Chapel at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery.
