John was born on February 23, 1969 in Bac Lieu, Vietnam. He moved to Austin, Texas with his family in 1980. He studied business at the University of Texas at Austin, alongside managing the family’s Chinese restaurant Magic Wok. He was a hard worker, giving his upmost effort in everything.
He was a loving husband, father, and a friend to everyone. He was the life of the party as he brought joy and laughter everywhere he went. John was the jokester of the family, a travel enthusiast and was like a “bro.” You could most likely find him on the basketball court or at the baccarat table. He was an “all-in or nothing type of guy”, whether it was at the casino or with his work. John was always eager to help relatives and friends no matter the task. He will be dearly missed and will be remembered, as he touched each and every one of our lives.
Compliments to the chef — his specialty, hot and sour soup.
