Joyce Vernell Koch, 85, of Taylor, Texas, was born August 14, 1939, in Coupland, Texas, to Gus and Evelyn (Rust) Schmidt and passed away on November 26, 2024. Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend; she loved to do just about anything, like scrapbooking, sewing, cooking, and entertaining with friends and family. She was a very social person, always talking and meeting with the neighbors; she enjoyed reading and gardening as well. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Pflugerville for many years.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, Milton Koch; children, Brenda Menefee and husband, Tom; Kevin Koch and wife, Rhonda; and Kyle Koch and wife, Elaine; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; aunt, Nell Rust; sisters, Delise Becker and husband, Randall and Retta Gaddy and husband, Ronnie along with many friends and extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Marilyn Adlof.
Uncle Bill Rust has also passed since Joyce's passing.
Memorial services will be held December 14, 2024, at 2:00pm at her church, St. John Lutheran Church in Pflugerville with Pastor Keith Weis officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
