Joyce Elaine Roth (Johnson), a kind spirit known for her passion for travel and nature, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the age of 75.

Born in Austin on November 9th, 1948, Joyce graduated from Lanier High School, where she met her beloved husband, Patrick Roth. Their love story unfolded over 46 years of marriage, filled with cherished memories and countless adventures until his passing in 2014.

Joyce dedicated many years to a fulfilling career in Communications for the State of Texas. Beyond work, she held a deep connection to Faith Lutheran Church, where she was a lifelong member.

Joyce's true joy came from exploring the world and immersing herself in nature's beauty. She and Patrick cherished their summer adventures, creating unforgettable memories on every new journey.

Joyce leaves behind a legacy of love and memories. She is survived by her son, Erik Roth, and his wife, Alison; her cherished grandchild, Cal Roth; and her devoted sister Suzette Kump, and Suzette’s husband, Joe.

A visitation for Joyce will be held Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. A graveside service will occur Friday, March 1, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
