

Juan G. Vasquez, 83, passed away, Saturday, October 31, 2015, at his home in Austin, Texas with his family by his side. Juan was born in Maxwell, Texas to Fernando and Julia Vasquez and raised in Lockhart, Texas
Juan served in the United States Army from 1952-1954, in the Korean War. He was employed by Glastron Boat Company for 32 Years and through his retirement worked for Travis Boats and Motors. He possessed a passion for working on his yard, watching Texas Rangers Baseball and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his sons, John, John Albert, and John Gilbert; granddaughter, Erica Christine Caballero; grandson, Zachary Micheal Vasquez; sisters, Donicia Rayos, Lupe Ortiz, Manuela Nino; best friend and brother, Anselmo "Chemo" Vasquez; parents, Fernando and Julia Vasquez.
He is survived by his wife of 60 Years, Mary Vasquez, daughter, Liz Torres and Frank of Pflugerville, son, Fred Vasquez and Annie of Austin, daughter Laurie Vasquez of Austin, son, John Vasquez and Peggy of Round Rock, son, Micheal Vasquez and Tina of Pflugerville and daughter, Julie Martinez and Marco of Round Rock, grandchildren, Keith Caballero, Kevin Torres, and Kelsey Torres of Pflugerville, Nickie Lawson (Jesse), Megan Santos (Roy), and Frederick Vasquez of Austin, Ryan Vasquez and Clay Vasquez of Round Rock, Kalli Vasquez and Lindsey Vasquez of Pflugerville and Tyler Martinez, Tanner Martinez and Tucker Martinez of Round Rock, great-grandchildren, Serena, Joshua, Ezekiel “Zeke” and Gray, siblings, Catarino Vasquez of Houston, Texas, Francisco Vasquez, Julia Mendez and Herminia Perez all of Lockhart, Texas, Eusebia Balderas, of Dimmitt, Texas and numerous "favorite" nieces, nephews and godchildren, (you know who you are).
Juan's family would like to express their gratitude to Compassus Hospice for their professional and compassionate treatment their father received while at home.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home with a Rosary being recited at 6:30 p.m. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 1520 N. Railroad Avenue, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
