Kenneth Lee Bell, 58, of Austin, Texas, advanced to Heaven on Thursday, October 29, 2015, with his family by his side. Kenneth was born on August 29, 1957, to Lester and Theresa Bell in Liberty, Texas and married his love, Robbin, on May 7, 1983 in Beaumont, Texas. As a 33-year project and program management IT professional, Kenneth was an honors graduate from Prairie View A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a State of Texas Professional Engineer. His hard work ethic yielded numerous employee awards and top ranked ratings as well as his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Kenneth embraced life with an unfailing love for his LORD, his wife, and his daughters; a gift for serving others; and a passion for preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As a husband, Kenneth was the tender, constant, true companion and faithful friend whose 32 years of marriage are cherished forever. As a father, Kenneth was affectionately known as Daddy – the protector, champion, wise counselor, and devoted father whose love and sacrifice knew no bounds. As a brother, uncle, and friend, Kenneth displayed his love in countless acts ensuring that those around him were positioned for a better future.
Kenneth is greatly treasured by all who knew him. My husband and our Daddy was a strong, wise, and loving man who enriched life by serving his family, friends, and co-workers through diligence, commitment, and faithfulness. His laughter and warm, friendly voice invited many to spend time with him and to listen to the wisdom and delightful stories that he freely imparted. He loved his family, the mountains, the Word of God, and people. He was a wise businessman and trusted advisor, one who enjoyed gardening and working on the land, playing basketball with his daughters, sharing good food and fellowship with those he loved, and teaching the truths of Jesus Christ. Through everything, Kenneth did not settle or compromise – a man after God’s own heart.
He impacted each of our lives by the faith and courage in which he lived. His lasting message is to live inside-out rather than outside-in by waiting on God. His legacy is his daughters’ relationship with Jesus Christ.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Robbin Bell; daughters: Hannah, Elaina, Christine, and Amber; siblings: Lester H. Bell, Beverly Palmer and husband Ralph, Rose Birdow, Wanda Fontenot and husband Lawrence, Bonita Curette and husband Willie, and Doris Lang; and a host of nephews, nieces, family, and friends. Kenneth was preceded in his advancement to Heaven by his parents, Lester and Theresa Bell; and his niece, Stephanie Deajon.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 9:00 a.m, Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery. Please visit www.cookwaldencapitalparks.com for online tributes.
