L. Inez DeCarlo

Inez was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a very eccentric and flamboyant lady, and was always the life of the party. She loved to play cards, especially bridge, and baking and gardening. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and attended all of their sporting events and activities and was their biggest cheerleader. She also loved her church family at Celebration Church on Anderson Mill Road in Austin. She served in many capacities with the church, and was always ready to help whenever and wherever she was needed. Throughout her life she worked as a Registered Nurse and was instrumental in implementing new ideas and ways to improve patient care.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas DeCarlo, her parents, and her sister MaryAnn. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her children, Marianne DeCarlo, Thomas DeCarlo, Jr., Darlene Sica, and Joseph DeCarlo; grandchildren, Christopher Czernek, Melinda Berezowsky, Russell Czernek, Nicholas Czernek, Kristin DeCarlo, Thomas DeCarlo, III, Ellee, Sarah Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Heather DeCarlo, Joshua DeCarlo, and Steven DeCarlo; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Leo, Abigail, Avery, and Sadie; and her brother, Bill and wife Naomi Philips.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Celebration Church, 10401 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, TX 78750.
