

Lawrence “Larry” Alan Koch, peacefully passed away at home in Lometa, Texas. Larry was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on June 22, 1944 (three minutes before his twin sister, Christine) to Wilbert (Bill) Koch and Alma Kollman Koch.
He was raised in North College Hill, Ohio, where he graduated from high school and attended the United Church of Christ along with his older brother, Jerry and his twin, Christine. He had many fond memories of church activities, Boy Scouts, family picnics, farming in Sardinia, Coney Island and the Ohio river boating.
After high school he joined his father in the heating and air conditioning business with Koch Sales & Service until 1976 when he relocated to Austin, Texas.
In Austin he continued in the same profession and after 10 years with one company, he joined the management team of Fox Services Co. in 1987. He stayed at Fox for over 30 years enjoying the training and coaching of 100’s of great men and women in profession. He sold/managed many high-profile projects over the years and had a loyal service cliental, some customers for over 40 years until his retirement in 2014. Larry wishes to thank the many people and customers that helped make his work a joy and success, pushing them to the limit at times, but always successful in the end.
Retirement took him to the small community of Lometa, Texas on a small ranch and into politics as City Council Member, building inspector and various other responsibilities. He enjoyed time on his tractors and mowers, cutting trees and maintaining the property with his wife, Jennie (Sissy).
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Kevin and Danny Koch, Mike Barbro, and brother, Jerry. He is survived by his loving wife and friend, Jennie(Sissy) Pierce Koch of Lometa, TX, sister, Christine Jones, of Indianapolis, son, Jeff Koch (wife, Mery), Trey Foley (wife, Francie), daughters, Jennifer Partin(husband, Kevin), Sarah Witter, sister-in-law, Dianne Koch, of Cincinnati, eleven grandkids and two great-grandkids and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral service to celebrate Larry’s life will be held 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 in the Mausoleum Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery. The Entombment will immediately follow the service.
