Leo was born on April 29, 1927 in Temple, Texas to Anna Fuchs and Charles Robert Luedtke. Shortly after his birth, his family moved to Pflugerville. Leo graduated from Pflugerville High School and soon after married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy Nell Wieruscheske. The couple purchased a farm on Kelly Lane and raised their two boys, Dennis and Clayton. He and wife, Dorothy later moved to their ranch in Kempner, Texas. Leo loved farming and ranching and was active in the family operation until his death. He was profoundly devoted to all aspects of his life, especially his wife and family.
Leo is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Nell; sons: Dennis Charles and wife, Debbie of Gatesville, Texas and Clayton and wife, Becca of Kempner, Texas; grandchildren: Belle Anne, Bonnie, Gina Ament and husband, Kris, Austin Carl and Lauren Christine; great grandson, Hayden Lee Ament; brother, John and wife, Lois and their family; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M., Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, September 9, 2004 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pflugerville with Pastor Keith J. Born officiating. Interment will follow immediately in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery Endowment Fund.
