Linda Katherine Wall Jones, lovingly known as Linda, Kay, LJ, and MomMom passed away on April 23, 2025, in Austin, Texas, at the age of 78, due to complications while undergoing treatment for Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Born on December 31, 1946, in San Antonio, Texas, Linda was the second of three children to Alice Olsson and Edward “Buddy” T. Wall.
Linda's presence will be missed every single day, especially on road trips without her by our side and in quiet moments when we instinctively reach for the phone to hear her voice.
She is lovingly remembered by her siblings Jerry Wall (Donna) and Debi Boyd (Mike); her daughters Sherri Wells (Rick), Natalie Jones (James), and Brittany Ehresman (Randy); her niece Brandi Boyd; nephews Clint and Jim Wall; and her cherished grandchildren Ryan, Kortney, Jordan, Bailey, Morgan, Ethan, Alex, and Emmaline. Though she left us too soon, her first great-granddaughter, Laila Kaylani, will carry her initials and her legacy, even if she never got the chance to meet her great-grandmother in person.
Linda had a deep love for Christmas, her dog Andy, and music, especially country and Elvis Presley. Christmas was her favorite time of year, a passion she carried with her every day—so much so that her tree remained up year-round. Her home reflected her joy in the season, with a room dedicated entirely to her childhood Christmas memories. In that special room, she proudly built an elevated train track that spanned the space—a whimsical creation she loved to share with family, friends, and unsuspecting visitors.
Linda’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends, remembered for her passion for music, and her love of the holidays. She leaves behind a family who will forever carry her memory and her strength.
