Linda Kay Sims

Linda was born on May 12, 1941 in Taylor, Texas to Jack and Winnette Lefler. She graduated from Temple High School in 1959. Linda was a member of the Church of Christ.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Elton Russell; and son, Roger Lane Gomez. She is survived by her husband, Jack Sims of Granger, Texas; brother, Dennis Lefler and wife Mary of Georgetown, Texas; daughter, Lana Gomez-Bone and husband Richard of Terrell, Texas; step-daughters, Elizabeth Woods and husband Steven of Spring, Texas and Karen Green and husband Steve of Austin, Texas; step-son, Jack Sims of Austin, Texas; grandson, Adam Lane Bone; step-granddaughters, Ashley Bone and Amanda Burbidge and husband David; step-grandsons, Coleman and Travis Sessums; step-great granddaughter, Brinley Burbidge; niece, Ashley Abbott and husband Matt; nephew, Tobin Lefler and wife Michele; and many other cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 22 at 10:00am in the Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow in Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery. Pallbearers are Sean Gabriel, Travis Sessums, Quinn Fawcett, Jonathan Fawcett, Karry Lanfear, and Russell Lanfear.
