

Louise Porfirio was a woman of great faith who loved her family. She was born August 17, 1938 in Austin, Texas to Gene and Elsie (Walenta) Porfirio and passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at the age of 86.
She graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School; retired from the City of Austin and the State Texas Work Commission after more than 25 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral Catholic Church and St. Vincent de Paul along with Daughter’s in Christ ministries. Some of her favorite pastimes were attending all school accomplishments and programs, she supported every sporting event and Livestock project her Great-Great Nieces and Nephews participated in. She loved her great nieces and nephews as they were her own being very proud of their accomplishments. She loved volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul and at St. Mary’s always helping those in need.
She is survived by her great-niece, Carrie Calhoun and husband, Marcus of Hutto; great-nephew, Aubrey Lee Mayes and wife, Sarah of Paige; great-great nephew, Preston Calhoun and wife, Madison of Temple; great-great niece, Abigal Calhoun and Tucker Saegert of Elgin; great-great niece, Katelyn Mayes; great-great nephew Aubrey Mayes of Paige and great-great-great niece, Georgia Calhoun of Temple.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 1:30pm with burial following at Assumption Cemetery at 3:00pm. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm with a rosary being recited at 5:30pm at Cook Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers will be Sergio Arevalo, Ken Craig, Lupe Gonzales, Chuck Mooneyhan, Ben Ostrander, Brian Trinque and Lee Mayes.
