Mark was such a wonderful person. We went to college at UNM and he was the kindest, warm-hearted person that I was so blessed to know. My heartfelt sympathies to his wife Joyce and his three children

We are so sorry to hear of Mark's passing.  He has been our accountant since 1997, and over the years we came to rely upon his calm and gentle demeanor as he helped us navigate the numerous challenges that one faces when running a small business.  Our hearts are heavy and we will miss him greatly.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. May it comfort you to know that Mark made indelible marks on the lives of the people he met. 

I had the pleasure of meeting him in 1984 when my family moved to Hobbs. It felt as though the city mouse had moved to the country. Watching the teens ride up and down the main drag until they turned eighteen was not a life for which I'd bargained. Nevertheless, Mark made it interesting!  

He was teaching Sunday School, and it was a joy to call him up during the week to rag him for being boring. Being the good sport that he was... those calls evolved into challenges. We were each fully invested in our discussions. My boredom was replaced with study, meditation, and contemplation to prepare for in-depth discussions during the actual class time. 

After merely a year there, I moved back North and married my college sweetheart.  While I never had the opportunity to see Mark again, I continue to cherish the memories of that special year. Since that time, we've only had a single occasion to talk.  It was during that phone call that Mark proudly told me of his loving family. 

May his memory comfort you at this time. May you live lives filled with adventure, faith, and love until we all meet on the other side of Jordan.

We were so sorry to hear of Mark’s passing.  Our hearts are broken.  Mark was my teacher in the new converts calss at Eastside COC when I was added to the Church.  He was a kind and gentle person.  May the Lord grant you and the family comfort during this difficult time.

Mark and Joyce, along with their 2 boys and daughter, were a special family in their earlier years as members of the Brentwood Oaks church of Christ in north Austin. From first meeting them back in the late '90's, I always felt like family with them. Mark was a Deacon back then, helping among the young and other areas of the church's ministries.  He was a dedicated worker who loved his family and church dearly. Prayers for his family and relatives during these sad days till we all meet again.

My heart hurts at the hearing of the passing of Mark. My condolences to all his family and friends. I loved Mark. Mark was a special and dear friend. I don't have many memories from Highland to Hobbs High that don't somehow include Mark, mostly football, hanging out, lots of laughter and some sad times as well. We'll always be Bears and Eagles. A true brother and friend that We'll miss very much.

I met Mark as a seventh grader at Highland Jr. High in Hobbs NM and we forged a great friendship that last these 45+years.

 Our Hobbs High Class family is sadden to read this as he is loved by so many. 

We ask our gracious Lord to  wrap his loving arms around his family, and we pray for them.

He was and still is the BEST in all of us!
