

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Johnny Barron and four siblings and a grandson, JP Cantu. Mrs. Barron survived by her children, Irene Franco, Tony Lee Castillo, Gerald Castillo, stepdaughter Patricia Barron, and sister-in-law Nellie Barron. Eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and nine great-great children. Numerous of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Barron grew up during the depression and became very resourceful. She never learned to drive and depended on public transportation until she retired at the age of ninety-three. She retired from the state of Texas, having worked as a teacher’s assistant and foster grandparent mentoring juveniles in the court system.
Mrs. Barron participated in activities at San Jose and Saint Williams Churches. She was a member of the Guadalupana at both churches.
The following loved ones helped Mom with her living accommodation during her final months: Stephen & Lisa Cantu, Sandra Castillo Lopez, Sarah Castillo, Sydney Lopez, and Jackie Totten.

A visitation will be held on January 18, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, located at 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas, 78660. A rosary will follow at 5:00 pm at the same location.
A funeral mass will take place on January 19, 2026, at 10:00 am at Saint William Catholic Church, located at 620 Round Rock W Dr, Round Rock, Texas, 78681.
