Miguel Najera, 46, of Round Rock, Texas, passed away on August 28, 2025. He was born on May 22, 1979, in Georgetown, Texas, and grew up in Round Rock, where he attended elementary, middle, and high school.
From a young age, Miguel had a love for trucks and the open road. At just 19 years old, he began his lifelong career as a commercial truck driver, a calling that became not only his work but a true passion.
When he wasn’t working, Miguel could often be found in the kitchen. Cooking was one of his greatest joys—mixing his own spices, creating recipes, and perfecting seafood dishes, especially mariscos, which became his signature. The kitchen was his happy place, usually filled with music, laughter, and the people he loved most. His favorite restaurant, Pacific Star, reflected his love for food and good company.
Miguel was known for his outgoing personality, his smile that could light up a room, and his ability to turn any moment into laughter. His jokes, stories, and warm presence brought joy wherever he went. If Miguel was in the room, you knew it would be filled with energy, humor, and love. He was not only a brother, son, and father, but also a loyal friend—someone you could always count on for advice, support, or simply a good laugh.
Above all, Miguel’s proudest role in life was being a father. His daughters, Jesica, Kassidy, and Leena, were the light of his life, and he carried immense pride and love for them. To his girls, he leaves behind not just memories, but the lessons, laughter, and love that will carry them forward.
Miguel also shared an unbreakable bond with his twin brother, David. Their connection was unique and everlasting, a relationship built on love, strength, and countless shared moments.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Cruz Najera, and his brother-in-law, Johnny Rocha.
Miguel is survived by his three beloved daughters, Jesica, Kassidy, and Leena Najera; his father, Cornelio Najera Sr.; his mom, Debbie Ann Flores; his grandmother, Alucemia Najera; his siblings, Cornelio Najera Jr., David Najera, and Jessica Najera; and his loving girlfriend, Jessica Belmarez, who was a cherished part of his family; along with a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him dearly.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who has shown love and support for Miguel during this difficult time.
We take comfort in knowing Miguel begins his next journey in Heaven, where his spirit will continue to shine as brightly as it did here on earth. Though his time here feels too short, Miguel’s legacy will live on through the love he gave, the laughter he sparked, and the memories he left with all who knew him.
