O’Letha was a deeply loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and truly the heart of her family. She embodied the role of a devoted wife and mother, always putting the needs of others before her own. She was often found humming a tune—a quiet reflection of her gentle spirit and joyful heart. Her home was always welcoming, her table always full, style and beauty effortlessly timeless, and her presence a source of comfort to all who entered.
For 20 years, she worked for Tuesday Morning, a specialty home décor and lifestyle retailer, where she formed lasting friendships and was admired for her dedication, warmth, and strong work ethic.
Warm, nurturing, and fun-loving, O’Letha had a joy for life that naturally drew people to her. She loved shopping, playing games, gambling, laughing, and truly living life to the fullest. A wonderful friend to many, she shared a particularly special bond with her longtime group of friends known as “The Thursday Ladies,” who gathered faithfully every Thursday. Their friendship spanned more than 50 years and remained a treasured part of her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Monte Joe Reedy, with whom she shared 59 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Thelma Trainer, and her sisters, Louise Whisenant and Patsy Belle.
O’Letha is survived by her brother, Douglas Trainer; her daughter, Kris Stauffacher of Austin, Texas; and her son, Craig Reedy (Debbie) of San Antonio, Texas. She leaves behind those who lovingly called her Granny: Kasey Reed (Colton), Hayden Stauffacher (Audrey), Kelly Nunley (Matthew), and Hunter Stauffacher (Celeste), as well as five great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy whenever they came to visit.
