Ora Elizabeth Black

Ms. Black was born October 1, 1957 to Ira E. Black Jr. and Elise Marie Rodriguez. She attended Reagan High School, and was graduated in 1976 from LBJ High School in Austin, Texas.

For several years Ora worked at Royal Burger in Austin. She later began her career with KFC, working for a KFC Franchise for five years, and then started working in 1991 for the Corporate KFC as a Regional Manager and Assistant Manager until her sickness in August 2015.

Ms. Black was preceded in death by her brother, Ira Elmer Black III and god-daughter, Elizabeth Sarah Escobar.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her father, Ira Elmer Black Jr.; mother, Elise R. Clark; sisters, Helen J. & husband Roy W. Harris of Abilene, Texas and Monica Lynn Black & husband Ron Simons of Houston, Texas; brothers, Deacon Michael & wife LuFanda Black of Austin, Texas and Andre R. Black of Austin, Texas; half-sisters, Iris Black and Sarah Black; half-brother, Ira Magic of Houston Texas; cousin, Betty Harris; god-daughter, Patricia Ann Scarborough, great-god-sons; along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, special family friends, Mr. & Mrs. Adams and many other family members and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at Cook Walden /Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 N. I -35, Pflugerville, Texas at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 16th, 2016. Burial will follow at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery.

Friends may pay their respects between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas.
