Philip Gary Morrill, beloved husband, father, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend passed away on January 12, 2012 just six hours shy of his 55th birthday. Phil passed away at home with his wife, sons, brother and friend at his side after battling cancer for the past year.
Phil had a successful career of 14 years as a technical analyst for Sears. Before that, he was an electrician for the State of Texas. He enjoyed being with family and friends, and especially playing his guitar in two bands, Pearl and Yoda's bones.
Phil had a wonderful sense of humor, often twisting people's words into what his family referred to as “Philisms.” He was so loved and will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.
Phil is survived by his loving wife, Linda, his sons, Douglas and Daniel Yocum, his brother, Alan and wife Marilyn, his sister, Ann Shay and husband Rick; his step-mother, Betty Morrill; his father- and mother-in-law, Tony and Frances Sedillo, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers- and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Phil was preceded in death by his father, Goodsel Morrill.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on January 16, 2012 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 N. IH-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. The family will receive guests at a private residence, 137 Azimuth Dr., Austin, TX 78717 following the memorial.
