Philip Douglas Williams

Phil was born January 24, 1956 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Hugh and Wanda Williams.

To cherish his memory, Phil leaves behind his wife, Penny Williams, his parents Hugh and Wanda Williams, daughters Carlye Pearson and her husband Chris, Courtney Linney and her husband Brian, Megan Williams and Brittany Williams and his step children Kari Schouweiler, Laila, Josh and his wife Ashley.

He was very proud of his grandchildren Madison, Sean, Paige, Ryan, Tatum, and Grayson as well as his step grandchildren Rand, Lilian and Annabelle. Phil is also survived by his brother Chip Williams and wife Vickie, his two sisters LaWanda Cook and her husband Mark, and Sami Lunsford and her husband Billy. He has many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews that loved him and will miss him too.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Hubert and Lucille Williams, Frank and Bessie Calico of Oklahoma, Uncles Vernon and Larry Calico, Aunt Ginger Gorges from Oklahoma, Cousin Paul Marek from New York.

Phil was a great athlete and embraced all sports. His zest for life and his adventurous spirit were obvious. Phil graduated from Roosevelt High School in San Antonio, Texas. He played Varsity football where he received numerous football scholarships but the one that meant the most was from the University of Oklahoma where he became a true Sooner fan. He worked for IBP for many years as a very successful meat salesman. His love was the water. He was a master at water skiing and boating, but just being close to the water made him happy.

Phil was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kingsland, Texas and a true believer in God which developed into a close relationship with his Uncle Jimmy, a pastor in Phoenix, Arizona. Most of all Phil loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by his loved ones.

His funeral service will be held to celebrate his life on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
