Ramona Fasha Myers Esslinger

Ramona Fasha Myers Esslinger rejoined her devoted husband Gary Ray Esslinger after passing away quietly in her sleep September 2, 2023 in Bush, Louisiana at age 84.

Ramona was born in Borger, Texas April 16, 1939 to Byrl Warren Myers and Richard Myers. She married her high school sweetheart Gary on July 25, 1958 in Liberal, Kansas, and they remained together until Gary's passing September 26, 2005.

Ramona and Gary had two children soon after they married Mark Alan Esslinger and Kelly Diane Esslinger Jones. They were fond of saying that we all grew up together. They were the best parents any child could hope for.

Ramona attended university and became a grade school science teacher. The family moved to Southeastern, Louisiana in 1964 in search of better jobs. She loved family, the Earth, gardening, and teaching. During the course of her career, Ramona touched the lives of hundreds

of young people.

Ramona is survived by her children Mark and Kelly, their spouses Leslie Jones and Mary Malmquist Esslinger, her four grandchildren Shannon Merced Wilson, Ashley Landry Wilson, Nicholas Wilson (spouse Ashley Nini Wilson), Daniel Heath Jones (spouse Janine Jones), and her nine great grandchildren Dylan Merced, Chase Merced, Daniella Jones, Nicholas Jones, Caden Ricks, Addison Wilson, Peyton Wilson, Maci Landry, and Cooper Wilson.

Internment services will be held at 10 AM September 13, 2023 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home and Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas where she will be laid to rest alongside of Gary.
