After graduating from Marfa High School in 1958, Robert subsequently served in the US Army where he was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. In 1963, Robert married the love of his life, Patsy Barron at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marfa, Texas. He worked in the life insurance industry and in 1970 was promoted to staff manager and relocated his family to Austin, Texas. Robert never met a stranger and was known for his outgoing nature. He enjoyed spending time playing golf, watching sports, and movies with his family.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Senaida and Natividad. He is survived by his wife, Patsy; and his children, Patti, Rachel, and Tommy all from Austin, Texas.
The Rivera Family invites you to join them on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, for visitation services to celebrate his life from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. with Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. A mass will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 30, 2021, at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church on Burnet Road followed by a graveside service at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
