I am so sorry for the pain you are feeling during this difficult time. Know that Bob will always be remembered for his humor and wonderful personality. I pray for comfort for all of you. Have peace knowing that Bob is walking with the angels.

Bob always said he was my big brother and that he had to raise this little country girl from Anson Texas. And man he had  his hands full!  I went to interview for a job as a file clerk. I had never had a job and was fresh out of high school, very naive and no office skills. 
 My interview lasted 4 hours from 2pm until 6pm.  Bob asked can you file  by "terminal digit order" and I said "no, sir" so he would explain and then show me.  More questions and more "no, sir".  I was red as a beet and had a heat rash all over my face and neck. He loved to joke with me about that asdn said only he could make me blush....lol.   Guess he saw something in me and thought me worthy of  a job. He called at 8am next morning and offered me the job.
Through the years Bob was my teacher,mentor, friend and  he "raised me".We had no formal job training as they do now. So, I learned everything I knew from Bob. We only had two phones. One on his desk and I had one. He was NEVER at his desk and Bob was the go to person for all of Fire Company so I fielded his calls and took messages.  Melvin Beck at State Board and I were phone buddies, although we never met. Bob would come back to his desk and say "Constance Dorinda" get back here.  I would roll my chair back to his desk, where he would teach me how to do things and how to reply to the questions.  With Bob, you didn't just do it because he said so, you had to understand the reason behind it and  the final outcone.  I am ashamed to say he had to teach me how to put lead in a mechanical pencil (I had never seen one). 
 He answered my questions and listened to my heartaches about men.  Helped me heal from two very short marriages. I moved to Costa Mesa California in 1975 and transferred to the office there. Two months later he made  room and hired me back.  In 1980 I quit and moved to San Antonio.  Three months later he hired me back again! I finally learned and made it to 40 years with THE FARM. 
Bob was there the first time I got drunk and made sure I got home okay then  laughed  at my first and LAST hangover the next day.  WE laughed a lot but  there were times I got in trouble and his scolding made me cry.
He was my favorite boss and I learned a lot of life lessons from him. He was patient and kind most of the time, soft spoken but  a real character.  No one could "strut his stuff" like  our own "PINK PANTHER".   I will never forget the "afro" and the yellow leisure suit!
May your memories comfort you and Stewart at this time. You are in my thoughts and prayers.  God bless you.

Bob was an amazing boss & friend.  I will miss him.  May the Lord give the family peace and strength.

Dear Stewart – 

Kevin & I are so sorry to hear about your Dads passing.  I know your Dad had a hand in modeling behaviors that helped shape the special person that you are.  How proud he must be as he looks down on you and Kaitlyn beginning your lives together.  You have shared lots of stories about your Dad and I'm hoping that the good memories you have will be a comfort to you while you grieve his loss.  Be strong for your Mom she will need your compassion and patience as she morns.   Always know that we love you very much and are so blessed to have you as our son-in-law.   We will keep you and your Mom in our thoughts and prayers and will always be here for you both.
