He graduated High School, then served in the United States Marines for 2 years when he was 17 years old. He owned a Barber shop and was a farmer, rancher, loved to play baseball, and enjoyed bowling.
He spent much of his time at the lake on the weekends with his family. He attended the Methodist Memorial Church. He also built churches in Costa Rica for the needy. He was a very generous and loving husband and father and was married 70 years.
He is preceded in death by his mother Annie and father RJ Greinert. He is survived by his family members - wife Joyce Greinert, daughter Pamela Shaw, son Neil Greinert, daughter Deborah Figueroa, son Keith Greinert, and daughter Robin McCalla. He had 11 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
The services are scheduled for Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. Visitation will be at 2:30 p.m. in the Lone Star State Room followed by funeral service at 3:30 p.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel of Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery.
