Sandra Jane Giarrusso

Sandra Jane “Kohls” Giarrusso, 75 years old and lived in Jarrell, Texas. Passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025, in Temple, Tx. Born March 8, 1950, in Austin Texas. Grew up in Jollyville, Texas and graduated from Round Rock High School in 1968. Sandra worked for the State of Texas and retired to enjoy travelling with her husband. They could be found driving across America and stopping at every casino along the way. Sandra also enjoyed cruising, making multiple trips a year! She was a member of the United Daughter of the Confederacy, holding many offices over her tenure. She was proud of the work done by the organization, and her favorite was genealogy research.

She is survived by her children, Daughter Judy and husband Bob Sullivan of North Hampton MA and their daughter Dawn Sullivan. Son - Michael Giarrusso of Sacramento, California, Daughter -Valorie and her husband, Christopher Wend, and son, Dr. Joseph Wend and wife Jessica. Son -Eddie and wife Cyndy Giarrusso of Fulton, Tx. Daughter Cynthia and husband Mark Balagia of Cameron, TX., and their children Stephanie Balagia, Whitney Rowe, Travis Larson, and Tyler Larson. She loved being a Great Grandma to Sophia Larson and Shane Rowe. Son – David and wife Stacy Giarrusso of Pflugerville, TX and their kids Josh and Kaylee Giarrusso. Sandra’s sister, Deborah Anderson, Niece Melannie, her husband Sam and their son, Ryley Shiell all from Kalispell, MT. Nephew’s Fred, and Robert Jordan. As well as many more grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

Preceded in death by her husband, Alessandro Antonio Giarrusso, Mother Mary Jo “Reynold” Kohls, Father Harold Ernest Kohls Sr. and Son, Joseph Carmino Giarrusso.

Sandra was known for her love, kindness, and generosity to her friends. She enjoyed volunteering in many capacities to our soldiers currently serving and to our veterans. She loved giving of her time and making a difference.

Her celebration of life will be at Cook – Walden Funeral Home, Pflugerville, Texas. Viewing and visitation with family is on April 14, from 5pm – 8pm, 2025. Service will be held in the chapel on April 15, 2025, at noon, with burial following at 1pm.
