Santiago De La Cruz

Santiago De La Cruz of Austin, Texas, passed away on November 11, 2022 at the age of 76. He was born on April 21, 1946 in Saltillo, Mexico to parents, Paula Martinez and Sebastian De La Cruz. He enjoyed gardening and was proud of his flower beds. He was also quite fond of his toy car collection. People will remember him for his sense of humor and the way he made them laugh.

He was the youngest of 5 siblings. He was preceded in death by Aurelia Dias, Consuelo Dias, Rosa Castillo, and Jesus De La Cruz.

Santiago is survived by his wife of 32 years, Dora M. Hernandez; his son, Frank De La Cruz; his daughters, Patricia De La Cruz and Ana Lia Dominguez; his step-children, Louis Joseph Hernandez, Doris E. Carrizales, and William Scott Hernandez; and his grandchildren, Angelica Rene De La Cruz, Kristine Amanda Escobedo, Victoria Anne De La Cruz, Isabel Denise De La Cruz, Olivia Alise Valadez, Ruby Camila Robledo, Esther Alexis Dominguez, and Sebastian Mark Dominguez.

A visitation for family and friends will be held for Santiago on Wednesday, November 30 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 1st at 10:30 a.m. at the same location with the burial to follow at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery which is located at the intersection of Interstate 35 and Howard Lane. We will be going to Casa Garcia’s at 15803 Windermere Dr. Unit 601 Pflugerville, Texas following the burial.
