Sharon Gail Ballard

She served in law enforcement for over 20 years. Sharon lived an amazing life, filled with love. She loved completely and was loved by many in return. She touched so many lives with her beautiful heart and smile.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Tillie Mae Craig; daughter, Jennifer Alligood Ballard; and great-granddaughter, Rylie Dakota Walker.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years James Ballard of Dawson, Texas; her dads, Tony Short of Dawson, and Roscoe Craig Sr. of Bastrop; daughter Tina and husband Paul Wolfe of Garland; daughter Toni Ballard of Austin; son Jay and wife Melanie of Garland; daughter Julie and husband Daniel D’Touge of Texarcana; daughter La’ree Ballard of Nashville, Tennessee; grandson Christopher Walker of Garland; grandson Justin and wife Alanna Walker and their two daughters, Kaidence and Paisleigh of Dawson; granddaughter Ginger Walker of Dawson; grandson Vincent Ramsey; granddaughter Lesley and husband Christopher Schultz; seven brothers and sisters, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

A visitation will be held Thursday, June 16, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Cook Walden/ Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas, with the funeral service to immediately follow visitation.
