Steve was a wonderful husband, amazing Dad, awesome Paw Paw, son, brother and best friend. In 1977, he graduated from Reagan High School in Austin, Texas. He worked in the automotive industry and was with Texas Alternator and Starter Service for approximately 42 years. Prior to that he worked in automotive parts and sales and was a tow-truck/repo driver. He also drag raced for a few years and won several trophies. His dream was to be picked up by a big sponsor and become a professional driver in the big leagues. His heros/idols were Dale Earnhardt Sr. and John Force. He loved watching Wheel of Fortune, Moonshiners,Street Outlaws, and the Dallas Cowboys.
Steve married Yvonne in 1993 and became an instant family raising his son, Stephen. In 1997 they had Amber to make their family complete. He loved his children very much and always said "Stephen was his favorite son and Amber was his favorite daughter". Later on, he was blessed with two grandsons, Devin and Brayden, and loved them dearly.
