He attended and was a recent graduate of Cedar Ridge High School. He also studied martial arts, and loved skate boarding. His friends referred to him as "Soul" and he embraced and loved people unconditionally. He was very funny and loved to walk up to complete strangers and say hello. He made many friends this way, and was very popular among his peers.
He is survived by both of his parents, Gabrella Powers, and Brandon Lawson, maternal grandparents- Joseph Powers and Minnie Hewitt, paternal grandparents- Arch Bishop John Lawson and Audrea Lawson, siblings-Julian Powers and Sabrina Butler. He was preceded in death by his older brother Jonathan Lawson.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2013 at the Church of Glad Tidings, 2700 Northland Drive, Austin, Texas 78756. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
