Ted and his wife, Janis, are long time members of First Baptist Church in Pflugerville, Texas. Ted worked in many different jobs, but retired from NAPA Auto Parts in 1990 and a few years later bought his own NAPA Auto Parts Store in Giddings, Texas. After selling the business, he worked as a Service Advisor at Henna Chevrolet, Austin and Tech Auto Service in Pflugerville. He retired for the second time at the end of 2010.
Ted spent his last years looking after some rent houses he and his wife owned. Ted and Janis enjoyed vacations to South Texas Coast Line and Southwest USA. Ted was also a member of the USAF reserves.
Ted was preceded in death by his son, Bret Aaron Munk, of Cottage Grove, Oregon; his sister, Lila Kelley, and his parents, Theodore Fredrick Munk and Lola Grace Munk, all of San Antonio, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Janis LaVonne Munk; son, Seth Alan Munk; two granddaughters, Jazmyn Stroud (Kori Stroud) of Cottage Grove, Oregon, and Chevelle Munk and her mother Layla Munk of Pendleton, Oregon; his sister, Loretta Maison or San Antonio, Texas; and his brother, Bruce Mohr of Wharton, Texas. He is also survived by a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held for family and friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 4, 2018 in the Memorial Chapel of the funeral home followed by a graveside service in Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
