

Theresa Arline Davis was born in Austin, Texas, on February 20, 1947, to the late LeRoy Thompson and Annette Crenshaw. She was the fifth of seven children: RayJean Pickard of Menor, TX; Billy Thompson of Houston, TX; George Thompson Sr. of Austin, TX; Annette Hubbard of Austin, TX; Vonny Brown of Austin, TX; and Miriam Walker of Austin, TX.
She was united in marriage to Charles Everett Davis, and from this union, they had two sons—Edward Thompson of Austin, TX, and Michael Davis of Harker Heights, TX—and two daughters—Nancy Madison of Round Rock, TX, and Lanette Davis of Austin, TX.
Theresa was an active member of Simpson United Methodist Church, where she participated in the choir, served as a communion steward, and was involved in the hospitality committee, United Methodist Women, the clothes closet, and the food pantry until her health declined. She also sang with the group Ordinary People. Theresa attended Kealing Middle School and L.C. Anderson High School.
Theresa Davis peacefully passed away on January 6, 2025. She is survived by her children: Edward Thompson (Gloria Thompson), Nancy Madison (Keith Madison), Lanette Davis, and Michael Davis (Tamika Davis); her brother, George Thompson; her sisters RayJean Pickard, Vonny Brown, and Miriam Walker (Arcie Walker); her eight grandchildren: Desarae Johnson, Andre Madison, Tamira Swain (Hector Swain), Michael Davis Jr., Jasmine Davis, Keiarra Madison, Jonathan Jones, and Malik Davis; and three great-grandchildren: Traylin Roberts, Aleah Paige, and Journee Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Annette Thompson; her sister, Annette Hubbard; her brother, Arthur Lee Thompson Sr.; and her husband, Charles Everett Davis.
A visitation for Theresa will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Simpson United Methodist Church, 1701 E 12th St, Austin, TX 78702, with burial to follow at Cook Walden Capital Parks Cemetery.
