Towayland Marcus Bell Hampton departed this life to go to his forever Heavenly home on October 19, 2022. He was born to Gerald Bell and Gisele Hampton on August 2, 1981. He was affectionately known as Way Way, Mark, Marcus and was beloved by all who knew him. He leaves behind his two young sons, Tyson and James Hampton who loved their daddy and will miss him dearly. We will spend everyday making sure these precious boys know how special their daddy was to all and how much he was loved. He loved his boys with all his heart and they are all he spoke of.
He loved the mother of his sons very much and knew that they had his back always and that he always had their support. To Amber and Melissa, we love you both and you all are family. He leaves behind to celebrate his life and cherish his memories brothers Alonzo Lacey Hampton, Michael Liggins, Jr., Dontrey Liggins, and Edsel Dwayne Hampton, Jr., and sisters Melissa de Leon and Violetta Villarreal.
As a young boy he enjoyed spending time with his grandparents Joe Bell (known as Papa Joe to Marcus), Dorothy Bell and Irene Lavender. He looked to them for strength and guidance and cherished that throughout his years.
He leaves behind countless cousins, uncles, aunts, and friends. He grew up in Houston and in Austin. He went to 15 different schools and graduated from Connally High School in Pflugerville, Tx.
Marcus was a lover of all people and he never met a stranger. He had an infectious smile and laughter. He had many friends that turned into family and Javier, Justin, Eric, Nolan, Lucio, and Paul were definitely at the top of that list. They were his ride or die brothers. Karen was his best female friend and was always there for him.
Uncle William “Sonny” Mohan was very influential in Marcus’s life. He called Marcus Way Way even when Marcus became an adult. Marcus “Way Way” was Uncle Sonny’s best friend. He was part of his life from day one. Marcus truly loved his Uncle Sonny.
Everyone was family to Marcus. He touched everyone’s lives and hearts. He was a role model to his baby brother Alonzo.
The Bells showered Marcus with love. Marcus has a wonderful family and he was so very loved. From his mother Gisele, Marcus went into a restful place and I’m gonna miss him forever. He was my best friend and I truly loved him.
