Vickie Simonetti Tanner

Vickie was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 28, 1951 to Victor & Norma Simonetti. She graduated from Southern Illinois University with a BA in Education, and later from St. Edward's University with a Masters of Science.

Vickie married Bo Tanner on September 6, 1975. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.

As a software developer in the early 1980s, followed by a long stent at Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation, and, most-recently, as a realtor in the Austin area, she excelled in a variety of occupations while always making time to also be an involved wife, mother, and nonna.

She took great enjoyment out of traveling and socializing with everyone and was her happiest when participating in any activity with, or otherwise supporting, those she loved. Community involvement was important to Vickie, and she regularly volunteered with local charitable organizations in the Austin area including the Assistance League and Dell Children’s Hospital.

Vickie is survived by her husband Bo Tanner, her children Natalie Dean and Matt Tanner, her grandchildren Tanner and Charlotte Dean, and her brother Frank Simonetti.

A funeral service for Vickie will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
