She was born in McNeil, Texas, on December 23, 1930, to Lucas Martinez and Nicanora Alvarado Martinez and was raised in McNeil before moving to Round Rock, Texas. Victoria was a lifelong parishioner of St. Williams Catholic Church and also made certain that her children attended mass every Sunday.
Victoria held a deep love for her family and when not caring for one of her children or grandchildren she enjoyed gardening, crocheting and watching her favorite television programs, including sports.
Victoria is preceded in death by her husband, Melecio Carlin; daughters, Josie Hernandez, Rachell Beltran, Beckie Carlin, and Sally Carlin Castillo; brothers, Santiago Martinez and Victor Martinez; as well as her sisters, Beatrice Carlin and Teresa Diaz.
She is survived by her sons; Daniel Carlin (Debra), Andrew Carlin, and Ricardo Carlin (Bonnie); sister, Refugia “Cuca” Zamarripa (PhiIlip); eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her extended family, Amanda Carlin, Bobby Beltran, Inez Hernandez and Arturo Serra and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to acknowledge the loving care given to Victoria by Brooke Pim, CNA, Melanie Guzman, RN, and Sheena Roffino, RN.
Pallbearers will include Gene Carlin, Mario Beltran, Eric Carlin, Daniel Carlin, Ricardo Carlin, Matthew Carlin, and Andrew Carlin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Victoria’s honor can be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Williams Catholic Church in Round Rock, Texas.
A visitation will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, located at 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660, on October 26, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Following the visitation, a Vigil and Rosary Service will begin at 7:00 pm.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on October 27, 2025, at 10:00 am at Saint William Catholic Church, 620 Round Rock W Drive, Round Rock, Texas 78681.
A graveside service will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.
