

He worked at IBM as a programmer for 31 years and also for the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office. He served in the United States Air Force from 1959 until 1963, during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He was very handy, and he enjoyed building dollhouses, and working in his workshop. He also enjoyed baseball, playing golf, and sharing pizza on Friday nights with his family.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Mavourneen (Maureen) Conroy; children, William T. Conroy, Mary E. Benzinger, Maureen B. Childs, and Robert S. Conroy; and grandchildren, Brianna, William, Katie, Delaney, and Valerie. He is also survived by his sister, Genevieve Mendez, and his brother, Daniel Conroy.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, June 28, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., with funeral services beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lighthouse at Altenheim, 100 N. College St., Round Rock, TX 78681.
