William L. "Bill" Spurrell

It is with great sadness that the family of William Larry Spurrell announces his passing on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the age of 60. William was born in Stockton, California on October 16, 1950. He built his life in LaMarque, Texas, where he raised four daughters before moving to Round Rock in 2000.

Mr. Spurrell was preceded in death on May 31, 2008, by his wife of 35 years, Bonnie K. Spurrell. He will be forever lovingly remembered by his daughter, Machelle Herrera-Riley and husband, John Riley, Jr.; daughter, Mary Steely, daughter, Elizabeth Krawietz and husband, 1st Lt. Jason Krawietz, Sr.; and daughter, Kristin Walker. Bill was blessed with four grandsons, Dylan Spurrell, Ray Herrera III, Jason Krawietz, Jr., and Carson Steely. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Spurrell; sister, Mary Ann Boot; sister, Carrie Williams; and brother, Mark Spurrell; along with a large extended family that loved Bill as their own.

A memorial service and celebration of Bill's life will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. at the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Burial will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
