She was born on August 25, 1942 in Newton, Mississippi to O.D. Wesley and Winnie Frost. She graduated from Huston-Tillotson University in Austin. Winnie married Willie G. Tisdale Sr. and they built a life together in Austin. She was the Learning Center Director of Operations for the Gingerbread House Inc. in Austin and had a long and fulfilling career in childcare and child development.
Winnie is preceded in death by her husband, Willie G. Tisdale Sr. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her son, Willie G. Tisdale Jr.; daughter-in-law, Shelly Tisdale; and granddaughters, Kati Tisdale and Alana Tisdale.
Family and friends are invited to her celebrate her life at a graveside service to be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2023 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
