After a long battle with Huntington’s Disease, on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, Aaron Elvis Borrego, 63, passed away. He was quite a warrior in his fight with this disease and early in the morning, angels ushered him into heaven.
Aaron was born in Phoenix, AZ on August 3, 1959 to Julian Marcial Borrego and Loida Chavez Borrego, both predeceased. He was number six of seven children.
He attended M.C. Cash Elementary School and graduated from South Mountain High School in 1977. While attending South High, he lifted weights and played Football. He started working at Food City when he was a freshman as a carry out. At 14 years of age, freshman year, he met the love of his life, Carole. Aaron and Carole dated all through high school and married in August, 1977.
After he married, Aaron started working at Valley National Bank in the Trust Department. Aaron’s work experience included various jobs including ITT Courier, Fleming Foods, and Safeway. As a side job, he took his passion for cars/trucks and began parting out or selling them as a whole once cleaned. Aaron retired from the City of Phoenix Police Department in 2017 as a Fingerprint Technician. He had aspirations of becoming a police officer, a firefighter and even dreamt of one day opening a classic car restoration business.
Aaron and Carole have three children and six grandchildren, all of which are his pride and joy. Aaron loved getting together with family. This usually included BBQ’s, music, dancing, and having beers by a fire. He loved going to car swap meets, selling and buying car parts to restore his '70 Chevelle.
