

Abelardo “Pelon” B. Casillas Jr., a beloved father, avid fisherman, and nature enthusiast, passed away peacefully on May 17th. He was 71 years old. Born in Phoenix on July 22, 1951, Pelon was the son of Abelardo S. Casillas Sr. and Maria Bernal. He grew up in a loving household and developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors from an early age. Pelon's love for nature, fishing, and hunting became lifelong passions that he shared with his family and friends. Pelon was a father to his four children, Barbie, Johnny, Delia, and Abelardo III. He will also be remembered and loved by his surviving siblings, Betty, Arthur, Rachelle, and Stella.
An enthusiastic fisherman and hunter, Pelon found solace and excitement by the water's edge or out in nature. Whether it was casting a line from a quiet riverbank or venturing out into the forest, he found peace and serenity in the art of fishing and hunting. His love for the sport was infectious, and he often took his children on fishing and hunting trips, creating memories that they will cherish forever. He was never happier than when he was surrounded by the beauty of nature. He relished every opportunity to embark on outdoor adventures with his family, making every trip an unforgettable experience filled with laughter and love.
Among Pelon's other passions was his love for sweets. He had a notorious sweet tooth and took great pleasure in indulging in delicious treats. His enthusiasm for desserts was evident to all who knew him, and he could often be found savoring a delectable treat, a smile on his face.
